Difference between e-cigs and personal vaporizers
Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are devices invented in 2003 by a Chinese pharmacist, Hon Lik. These are battery-operated devices with a glowing tip on one end. On the opposite end is a cartomiser, a small cartridge with nicotine inside. Once inhaled, the heater inside the device will warm the liquid and form vapor. An e-cigarette is designed to look and feel like an ordinary cigarette.
Personal Vaporizers, on the other hand, does not, in any way, look like a typical cigarette. It looks more like a pen. A vaporizer has a large but handy battery at the bottom. Atop the battery is the cartridge where the flavored e-liquid is stored. The tip is the mouth piece where the vapor comes out. Vaporizers can hold more liquid and lasts longer than e-cigarettes. Its users can even mix and match hardware and refill the e-liquid.
What to buy inside a shop selling electronic vapor cigarettes
Inside a vape shop, one can find 2 common things: e-liquid, and hardware.
E-liquid, more commonly called as e-juice, is the liquid inside an e-cigarette or vaporizer that is being heated up and turned to vapor. It comes in different nicotine strengths and flavors. An e-liquid is made up of 3 main ingredients. First are the Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerine (VG). These chemicals are very safe. PG is known to be used in asthma inhalers and as a contract-air virus at hospitals. VG is an ingredient also found in toothpastes and cake icings. Second are the flavorings such as almond, peppermint, eggnog, and cola. Third is the nicotine. This ingredients is optional, though, because a user may opt to have 0 nicotine.
Like a car, a vapor electronic cigarette also has hardware. This includes manual or automatic battery for non-stop use of the e-cig, atomizer which heats the liquid to turn into vapor, and a cartridge which houses the e-liquid.
